FENTANYL FOUND IN DRUG BUST ALONG WITH $52,000 IN CASH

Hasan Abdurrahmaan Rivera, 28, was arrested on June 8, 2023 in Lancaster County, South Carolina. $52,000 in cash was found in addition to cocaine and fentanyl.

While investigating a case agents with the Lancaster County Multijurisdictional Violent Crime Task Force uncovered information that narcotics were possibly present in Hasan’s home in Lancaster. 

A search warrant was obtained. Early in the morning, agents and a K-9 unit went to the suspect home to serve the search warrant. 

Hasan was there along with two adult females, all were detained while the search proceeded. During the search, agents say they found seven grams of marijuana, 0.6 grams of cocaine, 119 grams of fentanyl, and digital scales. 

Police also seized two 9 mm pistols and an AR style 5.56 mm pistol along with various ammunition. A safe contained $48,712 in cash, and $4,290.00 was found in a purse in the home. 

Hasan was arrested charged with trafficking fentanyl over 28 grams, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. 

Hasan appeared before a magistrate and was denied bond. The females in the home at the time of the search were not charged.
