A tragic shooting in uptown Charlotte, NC took the life of 26-year-old Martell Davis on June 9, 2023. Martell earned a football scholarship to Gannon University and played there a few years ago. Brandon Allen is charged with Martell’s murder.
On June 1, 2023 Martell was shot on North Brevard Street near Truist Field at 2:30 in the morning. Martell was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.
On June 9, 2023 Martell died at the hospital from the shooting. Brandon was arrested on June 9th and charged with murder. Martell is from Ohio.
Martell was a standout football player, he even earned a scholarship to Gannon University. Martell had a NFL pro day in 2019, but he never made an NFL roster.
