A deadly weekend erupted in Charlotte, NC as 2 people were murdered. Reginald Gilkesson, 29, was killed on June 11, 2023. Justin Johnson, 33, was murdered on June 10, 2023. Lawrence Jackson, 48, was arrested charged with the murder of Justin.
Justin was shot and killed on Peppervine Lane on June 10th. Shortly before 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a shots fired call. Upon arrival, officers located Justin dead, he had sustained an apparent gunshot wound.
On June 11th Lawrence was arrested and charged with murder in relation to the death of Justin.
Reginald was shot and killed on Atkins Circle Drive on June 11th. At 4:30 a.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon 911 call. Reginald was found by cops dead after being shot several times.
No arrests have been made in the homicide of Reginald.
