Christopher Dobbins, 44, was convicted on December 13, 2023 on trafficking cocaine charges in Charlotte, NC. 5 bricks of cocaine were delivered to him in a FedEx package.
The conviction stems from a drug deal from April 13, 2021. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department received information that a package containing a large quantity of cocaine would be delivered by FedEx to an address on Monroe Road in Charlotte.
The following day officers set up surveillance and observed Christopher drive around the target address for two hours, conducting his own counter surveillance.
Christopher waited for the FedEx driver to arrive, followed the female FedEx driver out of a shopping center, and eventually retrieved the FedEx package containing the drugs.
Officers followed Christopher and conducted a traffic stop. Officers recovered the package, which contained five bricks of cocaine.
Christopher was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking in cocaine. A jury found him guilty, and he was sentenced to 175-222 months in prison.
