On May 20, 2023 a traffic stop yielded a very large drug bust on Interstate 85 in Henderson, NC. Jonathan Gordan, 41, was arrested charged with various drug trafficking charges. The suspect was driving to New York.
At 4:50 a.m. cops got a tip and pulled over Jonathan for an erroneous traffic violation. During the traffic stop, cops used a k-9 to do an open air sniff.
The dog alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. Cops then searched the vehicle. Authorities say 1,000 kilogram bricks of heroin and 5 kilogram bricks of cocaine were found in the suspect vehicle.

Jonathan is from Albany, New York, he was the driver and the only person in the car.The suspect was charged with three counts of trafficking in cocaine, three counts of trafficking in heroin, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, deliver heroin, maintain a vehicle to keep controlled substances, and manufacture cocaine.

Jonathan was held in the Vance County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
