Ja’mez O’zecio Dye, 19, is charged with the murder of a 16-year-old boy. Ja’mez was arrested on March 1, 2022. The murder was at apartments in Lancaster, SC. A 19-year-old male was also shot.
The murder was on February 11, 2022 at 7p.m. The 16-year-old male drove to an apartment complex where there were several other men. An argument broke out that escalated to a fight. Several shots were fired. A 19-year-old male victim was shot and taken to the hospital by ambulance.
A second victim identified as the 16-year-old boy later arrived to the hospital by personal vehicle shot. The 16-year-old received emergency surgery for his gunshot wounds, but he died. The 19-year-old victim survived.
Ja’mez was arrested on March 1, 2022 and charged with murder along with possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
