Toddrick McFadden, 32, was arrested on June 29, 2022. He is accused of shooting a cop in the leg at a bar in Charlotte, NC. Toddrick is charged with attempted murder and assault on a law enforcement officer.
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department officer was shot on June 28, 2022 on East 36th Street.
At 2:30 a.m. there was an issue with a patron at The Blind Pig establishment on East 36th Street. The patron was asked to leave the business after an altercation ensued.
The patron left and shots were fired at or near the business. Officers responded to the shooting. Shortly after responding, one officer was shot in the leg by a suspect.
Several hours later the SWAT team moved in on Toddrick at a home and arrested him.
