The helicopter came slamming down to the ground in the midst of busy traffic on the interstate at the Nations Ford Road exit.
A large fireball then erupted as the helicopter crashed. 2 people died at the scene. Several people are hurt. Multiple vehicles and traffic signs are damaged.
Traffic is backed up for miles. Safety and emergency crews are on scene. The NTSB is investigating. There is no word on what led to the crash.
