A dynamic AAU basketball player was arrested accused of drunk driving after he was seen by police stumbling at a 7-Eeleven gas station
Austin Goodwin, 41, was arrested on August 30, 2026 charged with DWI in Mint Hill, NC. Austin played AAU basketball along with high school basketball. Austin also works for an auto glass repair company.

A cop was on routine patrol and observed Austin at a 7-Eelven gas station stumbling out of his vehicle. Austin had to use his car to maintain his balance.

Austin got in the vehicle and drove off at a high rate of speed. Austin is accused of running through a red light; a traffic stop was performed by police.
The cop smelled the odor of alcohol on Austin. Austin was swaying on his feet during the traffic stop. A portable breath test was done and it was determined that Austin had a 0.18 bodily alcohol content.
Austin was arrested charged with driving while impaired.
