Danny Simmons, 73, died on September 1, 2026 in Charlotte, NC after crashing on his motorcycle.
The actual wreck was on Aug. 26, 2026. Danny was driving on his motorcycle to go see his sick son that was in a wheelchair. Danny was in traffic attempting to change lanes, he swerved lost control and crashed on Hawthorne Lane and East 5th Street.
Danny was on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Harley Davidson crashes are rampant in Charlotte. Danny was banged up bad from the wreck. His clothes were stripped off in areas and he was bleeding. An ambulance quickly transported Danny to the hospital. Danny was in the hospital ICU intensive care unit for days.
Danny had facial fractures and a brain bleed. Sadly on September 1, 2026 Danny died from his injuries.
Danny owned a motorcycle and vehicle repair shop, he was a diesel mechanic too. Danny had adult children, grand children, and great grand children.
Danny was a well loved great grandfather.
A woman was killed in a motorcycle crash also earlier this year.
