They were very rich. Mujahid Idlibby also known as Mo was killed along with his wife Maria Idlibby in a murder suicide, autopsy canceled due to religious exemption
On June 26, 2026 Mujahid Idlibby and his wife Maria Idlibby, 43, were killed in a murder suicide in Mansfield, Texas. They had 4 children together. Mujahid also known as Mo Idlibby ran for Charlotte City Council in 2015 as a democratic candidate. Mujahid was also a wealthy attorney. After living in Charlotte for several years, Mujahid got a well paying attorney job and moved to Texas with his wife and kids. They lived in a stone mansion. But with large amounts of money and investments came marriage problems and arguments on how to spend the cash. The couple began to have issues in the marriage.
On June 26, 2026 Mujahid shot and killed Maria and then killed himself via self inflicted gunshot in their multi-million dollar mansion. They both died on scene. The kids called 911.
A Janazah prayer and ceremony was held for Mujahid and Maria. A Janazah ceremony is simply a Muslim style funeral. The dead bodies of the married couple were then shipped to Charlotte, NC where a second more American style funeral was held.
The married couple was Muslim, so a religious exemption was filed for Mujahid and Maria for no autopsy to be conducted, kind of like a cover up on what really took place resulting in their deaths.
Mujahid attended North Mecklenburg High School and then earned a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and then a J.D. law degree from the Charlotte Law School.
The Charlotte School of Law has since been shutdown due to not providing a sufficient education for law students. The four kids of Mujahid and Maria were not hurt in the murder suicide. The kids are staying with loving family now.
