Eddie Mccollum shot his wife Pastor Tammy Mccollum because he thought she was going to go get a gun from her bed and shoot him during a heated argument right after Easter Sunday on April 6, 2026 at their house on Cardington Ct. Pastor Tammy was a senior pastor at a church in Charlotte. Pastor Tammy and her husband Eddie got into argument about something on April 6th. Pastor Tammy was heading towards the bed and Eddie thought she was going for a gun to shoot him. Eddie then grabbed his gun and shot Pastor Tammy dead in the head. See more pastor news here.
Eddie called 911 hoofing and puffing, crying and angry that he killed his wife. Eddie’s voice was so high that the 911 lady thought he was a female.
Eddie was mad and cursing a lot during the 911 call, he even said his wife was too good. During the call Eddie is heard saying:
“I cant help her shes dead”
“We were arguing, I cant believe this, she too good.”
“I dont give a damn, fuck it”
“I killed my wife I’m done.”
The 911 operator asked sir can you go outside for me? Eddie replies “Nooooo!! Im not leaving her, brah they gonna have to kill me”
The 911 tech told Eddie to again to leave the home and go outside so officers could meet him and talk to him. Eddie hangs up and officers some how convince him to exit. Eddie was arrested and charged with murder.
Pastor Tammy’s family, church congregation, and friends were upset about her murder, and shocked that Eddie her own husband did it. Eddie worked at a middle school in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system. He is now on paid suspension pending the outcome of the investigation.
