A tragic death struck the Charlotte restaurant community. On June 20, 2026 Carlos Abrahams, 35, died in Charlotte, NC at the intersection of Choate Rd. and Carowinds Blvd. on Juneteenth weekend. Carlos was the owner of Crav’n Caribbean restaurant and food truck. Carlos also had quadruplet twins and 3 other children. He also leaves behind a wife. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Carlos was in the Marines for years, after he got out of the military he decided to start his Crav’n Caribbean restaurant and food truck which was very successful. Carlos was married to his wife for 16 years. Restaurant news has rocked Charlotte for years.

The couple had 7 kids together, including quadruplet twins in 2024. Carlos died without notice on Juneteenth weekend.
Carlos was in a car when he was killed allegedly by a self inflicted gunshot wound. 911 was called and EMS found Carlos dead in the car from a head shot. The preliminary death is ruled as suicide. But more details may came forth once his body is analyzed by specialized doctors and highly trained medical personnel.
Even though Carlos was in the Marines, it is not known if he had mental health issues or PTSD. However many veterans and ex military soldiers develop PTSD due to all the bombs, missiles, and killings they have seen during combat and military actions.
