Another death has occurred on Juneteenth weekend involving a Charlotte man that was a DJ
On June 21, 2026 Jamar Mishoe, 36, and Alejandro Sierra Gutierrez, 33, were killed in a head on collision on Juneteenth weekend in Lincoln County, NC on Highway 16.

The crash was at midnight. A 2017 Ram Pickup was traveling the wrong way and collided head on with a 2021 Mercedes Van, Jamar was in the van. Juneteenth weekend has been the center of deaths and tragedies over the years.
The collision led to both vehicles catching fire. The driver of the Ram truck was Alejandro, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision.
Jamar also died at the scene. The initial investigation shows that alcoholic beverages contributed to the collision, although it is not known who was drunk. State troopers conducted the investigation for hours.
Jamar worked as a DJ performing at clubs and parties.
