A physical altercation left Saniya dead on Juneteenth
Sa’Niya Briana Charise Latimore, 23, was killed on the Juneteenth holiday on June 19, 2026 in Charlotte, NC. The Juneteenth holiday is meant to celebrate the ending of slavery in America. Juneteenth weekend in Charlotte tends to be pretty violent.
At 9 p.m. a fight happened at a residence on Scaleybark Road involving Saniya. The fight turned deadly and Saniya was killed from being hit in the face.
Paramedics were called to the scene and they found the victim dead. No arrests have occurred yet.
