A Walmart worker is in hot water after getting arrested on allegations of embezzling $121,471 on the job

The alleged theft is said to of occurred at a Walmart in High Point, NC where Martaijah worked. In 2025 Martaijah is accused of embezzling money from Walmart while she was on duty.
The amount stolen was $121,471, according to police. It appears Martaijah was in a manager role of some sort and used that position to slowly but surely steal cash over several months, prosecutors say.
Martaijah is accused of pocketing the money and abruptly quitting her job at Walmart. Once Walmart discovered the alleged missing cash, the suspect was gone.
Martaijah traveled to Charlotte. Police tracked her down and she was arrested in Charlotte in May 2026 charged with embezzlement. Walmart employees actually get arrested a lot.
