A major crash occurred on I-85 in Charlotte, NC on March 16, 2024. 6 cars were involved in a collision.
The collision occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Interstate 85 South near W.T. Harris Boulevard. As many as 6 cars crashed into each other from the rear and sides.
Several people were injured and taken to the hospital. The crash shutdown all lanes of traffic on the interstate for hours.
Traffic was being diverted from the interstate onto West Mallard Creek Church Road. There is no word on what led to the crash.
