Video: A woman was killed after she and a man were shot while sitting in a car, their baby was in back seat
Gabryel Ayers, 27, was shot and killed in front of her baby on February 4, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois. Another man was also shot in the shooting. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
At 1 p.m. Gabryel was in a white car with a man and her 13-month-old baby when several assailants wearing black shot at her.
The baby was in the back seat of the car eating a blow pop. Gabryel was shot along with the man in the front seat. The suspects fired multiple times.
The suspects then ran into a red car and drove up to Gabryel shooting at her some more before speeding away.
Gabryel died on scene. The adult male was shot and rushed to the hospital. The baby was not shot, but was crying.
