Cops killed a father while his 3 children and girlfriend watched in horror
30-year-old Malcolm Staton died on March 17, 2022 after being shot by police in Union County, NC at a gas station near the intersection of Walkup Avenue and Macintyre Street.
On March 15, 2022 Malcolm was driving in a car with 3 of his kids and his girlfriend. Cops say they tried to pull Malcolm over at a gas station pursuant to a drug investigation. Authorities say Malcolm didn’t stop.
Cops say Malcolm hit 3 undercover police vehicles in the parking lot pursuit. A deputy then shot Malcolm while the woman and kids were in the car, glass shards hit the women and children.
Malcolm was taken to a hospital but he died 2 days after the shooting.
