On March 28, 2024 several Asian owned spa employees were arrested after a prostitution investigation at massage spas in Monroe and Statesville, NC. Mei Hu, 54, Juhua Wan, 46, and Hong Du, 60, were arrested.
An investigation began at Breeze Spa on Signal Hill Drive in Statesville, NC after multiple complaints from residents reporting inappropriate touching and solicitation for sexual acts during massages, police say.Undercover cops went into the spa multiple times and they received a proposition from female employees to receive sexual service in exchange for money.
The investigation revealed the owner of Breeze Spa also owned Yan Spa in Monroe, NC. Juhua and Hong worked at Yan Spa.
On March 28th, three women employees were arrested. Mei Hu was a manager at one of the spas, she was arrested and charged with felony promotion of prostitution and unlicensed massage therapy. Juhua was charged with solicitation of prostitution and unlicensed massage therapy.Hong was charged with practicing massage therapy without a license.
