37-year-old Daniel Davila died on Halloween October 31, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. His brother Carlos Leiva, 25, was murdered in 2024 a year earlier. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Daniel was a sushi chef at a restaurant. Daniel struggled with addiction and depression issues. He was found dead by a friend.
At the moment the cause of death is not known, but Daniel was very sad that his brother was murdered a year earlier. A cause of death is being reviewed for Daniel. There are reports that Daniel had mental health issues, suicide may be a cause, but nothing is official yet.
This is not the first set of brothers do die within a short time of each other. Colby Allen, 24, died from fentanyl and cocaine toxicity in Charlotte, NC on November 11, 2022.
Colby’s brother Tristian Allen, 22, committed suicide on January 14, 2024 at East Meck High School in Charlotte. Tristian jumped off a roof.
