New details show that Colby Allen, 24, died from fentanyl and cocaine toxicity in Charlotte, NC on November 11, 2022. Colby was brothers with Tristian Allen, who recently committed suicide at East Meck High School. Colby graduated from Butler High School.

Before Colby died from the overdose, he was noted to have a history of drug overdose abuse.
Before his death, Colby had a recent overdose that required naloxone resuscitation, Colby survived that overdose.
But Colby would not survive his deadly overdose. On November 11, 2022 Colby was found by a friend dead in a basement of a building in which he lived in.
Colby was found face down with foam coming from his mouth. The living area was cluttered with trash and dog feces. There was no obvious trauma or suspicion for foul play.
Baggies with white powder residue were present at the scene. Responders arrived and pronounced Colby dead at the scene.
After death examinations revealed Colby’s brain was swollen and edematous. Postmortem toxicology results revealed the presence of fentanyl in Colby’s blood.
Cocaine and its metabolite, benzoylecgonine, were also detected in Colby’s blood. The combined use of fentanyl and cocaine while intoxicated markedly increases the risk of sudden death due to the respiratory and central nervous system depressant effects of fentanyl and ethanol and the cardiovascular effects of cocaine and its metabolites.
