Gripping 911 call reveals a father admitting to killing his own children, he was in military and has PTSD
A 911 recording shows that Wellington Dickens, 38, murdered four of his children in Zebulon, NC he was arrested on October 27, 2025, he confessed to the murders in the 911 call. The kid victims of the quadruple homicide are Leah Dickens, 6, killed in May 2025, Zoe Dickens, 9, killed in August 2025, Wellington Dickens, 10, killed in August 2025, Sean Brasfield, 18, killed in September 2025. Wellington’s wife Stephanie, died at home on April 21, 2024. She was found deceased by Wellington and was three months pregnant at the time. Her death was attributed to complications from a miscarriage.
Wellington was a Private E-1 in the United States Army commissioned as a combat medic specialist, he was in the Iraq war from 2009-2010. Wellington did not allow his family to come and see the children. The kids were all home schooled. Wellington has PTSD from the war and military experience.
Wellington murdered his 4 children and then put their dead bodies in a car trunk parked in the garage at his home. He killed the children by beating them and starving them, as he stated in the 911 call video. The dead kids were in the trunk for months and were decomposing.
But on Monday night Oct. 27th Wellington called 911 and said that there were 4 dead kids in his car and that he had killed his own kids.
Police and EMS arrived on scene to find the gruesome discovery. Sadly in September 2024 Wellington posted a Facebook message that showed a child in a video with the caption, “Shout out to the dead!!!”
The State Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted and responded to the scene, while crime scene investigators with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are also assisting deputies at the scene.
The suspect is now charged with 4 counts of murder.
