On June 15, 2023 a baby was found dead in a garbage truck. The baby was female. The discovery was on a garbage truck in Plan City, Ohio.
Garbage truck employees were working when they found the baby dead in the trash section of the truck. Plain City had contracted a waste management company to handle its trash.
The baby was a newborn female. The umbilical cord was still attached.
The autopsy was performed and it did not reveal an immediately known cause of death.
No information has been released about the mother. Police say evidence was submitted to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation Laboratory for DNA analysis.
