A man driving a luxury Porsche was arrested accused of DWI
David Derck, 54, was arrested on May 31, 2025 after a DWI crash on Woodlawn Rd. Charlotte, NC. David was driving a luxury Porsche. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
At 1 a.m. cops were dispatched to a vehicular accident on Woodlawn Road. A Porsche driven by David was involved in a crash.
Derck was standing outside of his damaged Porsche. David admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving the Porsche.
Police say David had red glassy eyes, a moderate odor of alcohol, and slurred speech. Police ordered David to perform field drunken tests, which he allegedly did poorly on. A breathalyzer determined David’s bodily alcohol was 0.17.
David was arrested charged with DWI. It is unknown if the luxury Porsche was towed.
