Raphael Wright, 22, was arrested on June 20, 2024. He is charged with murdering Michelle Schechter, 27, in Charlotte, NC on Glenwood Drive.
Michelle was murdered on June 16, 2024. Michelle was at a motel, Raphael then met up with Michelle at the motel. When he was parking his car, he texted Michelle saying, “I’m here.”
She called 911 saying that she had been raped and shot. Raphael is seen leaving the motel.
Paramedics arrived on scene and took Michelle to the hospital where she died.
Raphael was located in Rock Hill, S.C. on June 20th, he was arrested and extradited back to Mecklenburg County.
On June 27, 2024 Raphael was transferred into the custody of the Mecklenburg County Jail and charged with murder and forcible rape. Michelle was a mother of a young child.
