VICTIM MURDERED IN SHOOTING, DIES AT NOVANT HEALTH HOSPITAL

5 people have been murdered in less than a week

A victim was murdered on May 18, 2025 on Spring Street Charlotte, NC. This marks the second homicide today and the 5th murder this week. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The most recent murder was at 4:21 p.m. on Spring St. A victim was shot, 911 emergency was dispatched and the victim was found with sustained gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center where they died. Earlier today a teen was murdered.

Jerry Forney, 67, was murdered on May 15, 2025.

On May 14, 2025 Alvin Steele, 24, was murdered at the Loyalty Inn motel on Lucky Penny Street
