SUSPECT FOUND GUILTY OF ATTEMPTED MURDER IN CHARLOTTE

Man shot in Charlotte while sitting in car, suspect Leamon Gray arrested

In 2025 Leamon Gray, 37, was found guilty of attempted murder in Charlotte, NC.

The crime was on October 27, 2018. Leamon shot Oscar Adeniji on Stonington Lane. Oscar was in a vehicle when he was shot multiple times during a verbal argument with Leamon.

Oscar sustained serious bodily injury from the shooting. Medic responded to the scene and transported the victim to Atrium Health Hospital for treatment.

Leamon was later arrested charged with attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, discharging a weapon into occupied property inflicting serious bodily injury, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

At trial the jury found Leamon guilty on all criminal counts. Leamon will be sentenced at a later date.
