Harold Buchanan is a contract builder, he’s accused of sneaking into a woman’s garage after a protection order
Harold Buchanan, 57, was arrested on May 6, 2025 in Charlotte, NC accused of violating a domestic violence protective order that was issued by Cynthia Markey. Harold is a construction contractor, building various projects for wealthy clients.

Cynthia took out a domestic violence protection order against Harold for a particular situation that occurred between the two.
On March 17, 2025 Cynthia looked at her residence camera system and saw Harold in the garage at 2 in the morning. Harold was unaware of the camera in the garage and when he saw the camera he ducked and crawled out of the garage.
Cynthia called police and stated she has a protection order against Harold and he is not suppose to be on her property.
In April 2025 late at night Harold is accused of knowingly violating the protection order again by showing up at Cynthia’s home and ringing the doorbell.
Harold proceeded to stand on her porch for approximately 15 minutes and attempt to speak to her through her doorbell camera. Harold then left her porch in an unknown direction. The victim showed officers the footage.
Harold was later arrested charged with 2 counts of domestic violence protection order violation. A plea deal was reached after Harold made a guilty alford plea.
Now Harold must attend a domestic violence abuser treatment program, Harold can’t have any contact with Cynthia.
Harold was given 60 days in jail, but that sentence was suspended per Harold serving supervised probation for 12 months.
