TWO WOMEN ROBBED AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BY MAN NEAR CONSTRUCTION SITE

Jordan Bryson-Antonio Douglas, 21, is charged in this sexual assault case.

On July 5, 2019, at approximately 4:00 a.m., two adult women were walking near a construction area on West 6th Street Charlotte, NC when they were allegedly approached by Mr. Douglas. The suspect was armed with a gun. 

Mr. Douglas allegedly threatened both women and sexually assaulted one of them. The suspect also allegedly robbed the victim women of their belongings and fired a gun during the commission of this crime, however neither victim was shot.

At 4:07 a.m., 911 received a call from a concerned citizen who heard the victims yelling for help and the gunshot. Officers immediately responded and located the suspect, who ran from officers.  

Responding officers chased the suspect and were able to apprehend him and recover a firearm.

Mr. Douglas was transported to an area hospital due to minor injuries he received during the struggle with one of the victims.

He was released from the hospital and charged with 2 counts of first degree sex offense, 2 counts of first degree kidnapping, 2 counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and 2 counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
