On December 29, 2021 a Waffle House location was robbed at gunpoint in Gastonia, NC. The suspect even shot at officers, and then was able to escape.
The robbery was at the Waffle House on West Franklin Blvd at 6:30 p.m. A black male suspect robbed a person outside the business, the suspect then went inside the Waffle House to rob the business.
The suspect fled the scene in a black truck. 911 was called and police located the suspect inside the truck in a nearby location. The suspect saw police and fired several shots at officers, police then returned fire.
The suspect then sped off in the truck. The suspect is still at large. No officers were shot.
