A violent Home Depot robbery resulted in the death of 83-year-old Gary Rasor who was an employee at The Home Depot. Gary worked at The Home Depot in Hillsborough, NC. Gary died on December 1, 2022.
The actual robbery was on October 18, 2022. A black male suspect is seen on video stealing several pressure washers from the Home Depot.
The suspect was pushing a shopping cart out of the garden area exit when Gary confronted the man and asked for his receipt.
The suspect is seen pushing Gary and then walking out of the Home Depot with 3 pressure washers. Gary fell to the ground. The suspect left in a vehicle with fake paper tags.
Gary was taken to the hospital with internal bleeding and injuries. Gary was in the hospital for over a month, he later died on December 1st.
Gary died due to complications from the injuries he received during the Home Depot robbery. The North Carolina Medical Examiner has ruled the death a homicide.
The suspect has not been caught.
