A Garda armored truck was robbed in Charlotte, NC. 3 men were arrested. The suspects were sentenced to prison on November 13, 2024. The suspects are Sherrod Davidson, 33, Rashad Jackson, 44, and Dominique Duggins, 33. One of the suspects identified as Dominique was an ex employee of Garda.
The armored truck robbery was on September 9, 2020, two Garda World Cash Services employees were servicing a Bank of America ATM machine in Charlotte. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Sherrod, Rashad, and Dominique were sitting in a parked vehicle on a hill overlooking the ATM.
Dominique and Sherrod exited the vehicle while Rashad stayed behind as the getaway driver. Surveillance video recovered during the investigation shows Dominique approach the first Garda armored truck employee who was standing at the ATM machine loading cash in it.

Dominique put a gun to the employee’s back and forced him to the ground, while Sherrod approached the Garda van where the other employee was refilling the ATM cassettes with cash.
Suspects got away with $277,000 cash in a Brinks armored truck in Charlotte
Sherrod pointed a gun at the second employee and grabbed multiple bags of cash. The suspects returned to the getaway vehicle and fled the scene with $2 million cash.
Over the course of the investigation, Dominique was identified as one of the suspects. Dominique had worked at Garda World Cash Services from June to July 2020 before he was fired. Dominique was arrested in March 2021.
Investigators later identified Sherrod and Rashad as the other two accomplices, they were arrested in July 2021. Click here to see more armored truck robberies.
On April 29, 2022, Dominique pleaded guilty to bank robbery. On June 28, 2024, Sherrod pleaded guilty to bank robbery and aiding and abetting.
Rashad pleaded guilty to possession and brandishing of a firearm during a crime of violence.
Sherrod was sentenced to 139 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. Rashad was sentenced to 84 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. Dominique is awaiting sentencing.
