A woman rejected his advances, so a “pissed” off James pulled a gun from his wet diaper and shot her at a party

James Holmes, 45, was sentenced to 110 months in prison on November 12, 2024 in Charlotte, NC. James is in a wheel chair and he shot a woman multiple times for rejecting his romantic advances at a party. James hid the gun in his urination filled adult diaper. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The shooting occurred in May 2021 in the parking lot of an apartment complex. James was at a party along with several other people. James was in a wheel chair and approached a woman to go on a date with him.

The woman rejected James. The woman then left the party, James approached the victim while she was sitting in a parked vehicle and he pulled a gun from his diaper and pointed it at the woman.

The female victim begged James not to shoot her, but James said,

“Don’t be sorry now, bitch,”

James then shot her in the backseat of the vehicle. The woman sustained two gunshot wounds. Click here to see more wheel chair articles.

James then rolled away in his wheel chair. 911 was called and the victim and witnesses relayed to cops what transpired.

The officers located James nearby seated in his wheelchair and recovered three 9mm casings from the area where the woman was shot. The female victim was transported to the hospital.

James was taken into custody, he repeatedly denied having a firearm. While at the police station, officers discovered James had a firearm in his diaper.

Officers retrieved from James a loaded 9mm pistol with a round in the chamber. Court records show that, at the time of the shooting, James was on supervised release for a federal firearms conviction out of Wisconsin.

As a result of that conviction, James was prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition. The three 9mm discharged casings collected from the scene of the shooting, matched the gun that was found on James.

According to court records, James committed numerous offenses while in jail custody at the Mecklenburg County Jail.

He threatened a detention officer after she told the defendant to put on a shirt. James then spit at the detention officer, bit her, and stabbed her with a shank.

A detention officer found a four inch shank in James’s wheelchair. On yet another occasion, James threw brown urination at a detention officer’s head.

James also assaulted a nurse at the jail and repeatedly refused to follow lawful orders while in custody.

James pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. James was sentenced to 110 months in prison.
