An 18-wheeler truck ran over an employee while backing up on loading dock

On Monday, July 6, 2026 Idrisu Issaku was killed on the job at a strip mall on East Independence Blvd. Charlotte, NC. There have been multiple encounters where employees have been killed on the job.

Idrisu was working at a strip mall in the back on a truck loading dock. The driver of a 18-wheeler truck was backing up the truck to a loading dock. Issaku got caught between the truck and loading dock wall.

Idrisu was ran over by the truck and squished also while by the wall. 911 was called and upon arrival, officers located Idrisu dead.

The North Carolina Department of Labor is investigating the incident. Fines are likely. The victim’s family will likely sue the companies involved for millions of dollars.
