On May 17, 2022 Chantel died in a massive vehicle collision on Interstate 485 near Charlotte, NC. Another person was killed also. Video of the traffic backup can be seen here.
The fatal collision was on Interstate 485 at the Pineville-Matthews Road exit at 3 a.m.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was dispatched to maintain the scene. The 2 victims died at the scene during a collision. Few details are known surrounding the wreck.
I-485 was shutdown as a result of the crash.
