WOMAN ACCUSED OF MURDERING HER NIECE ON NEW YEAR’S EVE

On New Year’s Eve 2024 41-year-old Sunsharay Coulbourne was arrested accused of murdering her niece 22-year-old Jonae Collins in Concord, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The homicide resulted following a domestic family dispute on December 31, 2024, at 12:48 a.m. at a residence on Coventry Commons Avenue. There have been a drastic amount of New Year’s eve homicides and shootings over the years.

Sunsharay is accused of stabbing Jonae to death. 911 was called and when officers arrived, they found Jonae with apparent stab wounds. 

Jonae was pronounced deceased at the scene. Sunsharay was arrested charged with first degree murder. 

The suspect is currently being held in the Cabarrus County Jail without bond.
