Newly released video shows the moments Chicago police fired shots at an black SUV that was wanted in the shooting of an off duty police officer on September 20, 2022 in Chicago, Illinois. Earlier that day the black SUV shot a plain clothes off duty female officer in the face during a road rage incident.
Hours after the officer was shot in the face, the suspect SUV was spotted driving. Cops performed a traffic stop on the SUV. One of the officers fires at the passenger side of the SUV. The suspect SUV then speeds off in a tight space between police vehicles. The suspect SUV then speeds down the Kennedy Expressway. Cops give chase, but the SUV escapes.
Days after the shooting, the off duty female officer that was shot in the face was fired from the Chicago Police Department. The female officer had failed a drug test. The shooting suspects have still not been arrested.
