Watch: Popeyes employees are known for fighting and being ghetto, now they are shooting each other
On May 11, 2025 a shooting occurred at the Popeyes restaurant on South Blvd. Charlotte, NC during a fight between employees that was caught on video. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
In the afternoon 2 Popeyes employees are seen in a confrontation outside the restaurant in the drive thru area. One of the employees is identified as Rodney Wood, 22. The dispute turned physical when one employee is seen punching and hitting Rodney in the face.
Rodney backs away and then pulls out a gun and shoots his co-worker twice. The shot man instantly falls to the ground and calms down from wanting to put his hands on people.
Shocked customers watch. Some customers walked right over the victim and went into the restaurant.
The man that was shot was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Rodney was arrested accused of attempted murder.
Popeyes has a reputation for violent behavior amongst their employees. Video shows customers and Popeyes employees fighting over a food dispute.
Popeyes has also had a number of bad health department inspections.
