Jacob Davidson, 38, is accused of shooting at police officers on November 11, 2022 in Bucyru, Ohio. Video shows the suspect being pulled over in a traffic stop.The suspect refuses to stop and a small pursuit began. Jacob is then accused of stopping his SUV and firing shots from his back window at cops.
Officers were seen on video returning fire. The officers then move in on Jacob and throw him onto the ground. No one was shot during the incident.
A cop can be heard crying while telling Jacob, “You just shot at me, I have a 2-year-old child at home.”
Jacob says he was shooting at the cop’s tires.
Jacob was arrested and charged with felonious assault, disrupting public services, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, and discharging a firearm on prohibited premises.
A judge originally set bond at $2 million for Jacob. Attorneys for the suspect have requested for Jacob to be evaluated for competency to stand trial.
