Video, a man was found burned to death in an apartment fire, a woman died same way weeks ago

A male victim died in an apartment fire on January 28, 2026 on Sharon Chase Drive Charlotte, NC.

Fire received multiple calls at approximately 6:43 a.m. today for a reported apartment fire at the complex. Charlotte Fire units arrived on scene at 6:47 a.m. and encountered heavy fire coming from a two-story apartment building.

A woman was killed in a fire after being shot in the head earlier this month

Multiple additional units followed shortly after arrival. Firefighters immediately began fire suppression operations and evacuated residents from the building.

The fire was brought under control at approximately 7:08 a.m. Fire crews entered the apartment and found one individual deceased; at this time, the death appears to be unrelated to the fire.

Father and son were killed in a fiery car crash

One civilian was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation, and another civilian was treated at the scene.

Nine apartment units were affected by the fire and are currently uninhabitable. Charlotte Fire is working with the apartment complex and the American Red Cross to assist displaced residents.

The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force is continuing its investigation into the cause of the fire.
