Demontrez Breelove, 26, is accused of murdering his girlfriend Serenity Tate, 23, in Charlotte, NC on January 24, 2026. Serenity was a mom to a young infant daughter. Serenity was also a rap music video model, appearing in some local lower budget videos.
Serenity and Demontrez were in a dating relationship. The two got into a physical altercation at apartments on Whistling Teal Drive. Serenity was badly injured and sustained life threatening injuries. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Serenity was taken to a local hospital by friends, as she had life threatening injuries. It is unknown if Serenity was shot, stabbed, or beat down.
At 1:30 p.m., Serenity died at the hospital, which then prompted an investigation.
Demontrez was later arrested charged with murder and obstruction.
