VIDEO: INMATE BREAKS OUT OF HANDCUFFS AND SPEEDS OFF IN COP’S CAR WITH COP IN PATROL VEHICLE DURING EPIC ESCAPE

Date:

Video of the great escape shows this inmate getting out of handcuffs in the backseat of a cop car and then jumping in the driver’s side to speed off

Video of an inmate escaping from police custody resulted in the suspect Stacey Huffman, 37, stealing a police car while the cop was inside. The escape was on May 30, 2026 in Dallas, Texas.

Dallas Police officers Ibrahim Kante and Kenneth Harper conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation on Stacey Huffman for Driving While License Invalid, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Officer Kante handcuffed Huffman and placed him in the rear seat of the squad car while the officers completed their investigation.

After being placed in the squad car, Huffman managed to remove his left hand from the handcuffs and conceal his hands behind his body. When the officers began driving to jail, Huffman attempted to open the locked rear door of the squad car and removed his seat belt.

The officers heard the movement of the suspect and yelled,

“What the fuck are you doing”

The cops stopped the squad car on northbound I-35 and exited the vehicle to restrain Huffman. When both officers were outside, Huffman climbed into the driver’s seat and drove away, as Officer Harper entered the back seat. Harper remained inside while Huffman drove away, and Officer Kante was still outside.

Officer Harper deployed his Taser, but it was not effective when Huffman pulled the wires away. Officer Harper drew his duty weapon, and when Huffman accelerated the vehicle, Officer Harper struck Huffman on the side of the head with the weapon.

The officer is heard saying,

Stop the fucking car, oh my god

Huffman then drove side to side erratically in the cop car, causing Officer Harper to be violently thrown across the back seat like a roller coaster.

After driving approximately 1,000 feet at speeds reaching 50 miles per hour, Huffman opened the driver side door and exited the moving car. Officer Harper was able to regain control of the squad car by climbing to the front seat and avoided a collision.

Huffman was knocked unconscious when he jumped out of the vehicle. The suspect received medical treatment and was arrested.
