On August 4, 2024 Jalin Brown, 25, possibly pulled off the greatest jail escape of all time. He jumped from the Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital roof and caught a hood uber, leaving police baffled in Concord, NC.

It all started on August 2, 2024 at a gas station on Poplar Tent Rd. in Concord, NC. Jalin was in a vehicle pumping gas, when cops say they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from Jalin’s vehicle. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Cops began to approach and Jalin drove off, while the gas hose was still connected to his vehicle. The speed of the car pulled the gas hose from the pump and the hose hit an officer nearby.
A high speed vehicle pursuit began. Jalin eventually crashed and then ran into a wooded area. Cops later caught Jalin and arrested him within an hour.

During the arrest Jalin said he was dehydrated and needed to go to the hospital. Cops took Jalin to the Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital where he was treated.
Jalin’s condition caused him to stay in the hospital for 2 days under police watch since he was a patient under arrest.
But on Sunday August 4, 2024 Jalin made a run for it. He used a persons cell phone in the hospital and arranged for a “hood Uber” to pick him up. A man was murdered in a “hood Uber” in Charlotte.
When cops were not watching, Jalin jumped out of the hospital window and onto the roof. Jalin then jumped from the roof onto the ground.
Jalin then ran through the parking lot opening random parked car doors. He allegedly found one car unlocked and stole clothes that were in the vehicle.
Jalin then ran away from the hospital and caught his “hood uber” ride to an unknown destination. Click here to see more hood uber articles.
Jalin has not been seen since, and cops are looking for him.
