On August 6, 2024 Larry Colvin, 51, was sentenced to 168 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for trafficking methamphetamine in Lenoir, NC. Larry had over $30,000 cash.
The drug deals occurred on December 12, 2022, when law enforcement received information that Larry was trafficking methamphetamine in Lenoir and surrounding areas. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram.

During the investigation, law enforcement arranged controlled buys during which they observed Larry sell methamphetamine to a confidential informant.
Cops then executed a search warrant at Larry’s residence, where they seized methamphetamine and a firearm.

A man had 1,100 methamphetamine pills at the Super 8 motel in west Charlotte
Over $7,400 in cash drug proceeds were seized from a vehicle parked on the property along with guns.
A second search warrant was executed at another location where Larry was using a camper as a stash house for methamphetamine.
From the camper, law enforcement seized methamphetamine, five handguns, two rifles, and a shotgun.
During an interview with Larry he told law enforcement that he also hid methamphetamine at his workplace.
Law enforcement traveled to Larry’s job where they seized over 4.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and $30,000 in cash drug proceeds from Larry’s vehicle.
Larry pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
