Rolbert Joachin, 40, murdered Nilufa Easmin, 51, at a Vape synthetic marijuana shop on April 3, 2026 in Fort Myers, Florida. Rolbert is an illegal immigrant from Haiti.
Rolbert is accused of bludgeoning Nilufa to death with a hammer, hitting her several times in the head, at a vape smoke shop. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
On April 3rd surveillance footage showed that Rolbert smashed the victim’s car windshield and hit her car multiple times with a hammer.
Nilufa heard the commotion and came outside the vape shop, yelling at the suspect. Rolbert approached Nilufa and hit her in the face with the hammer.
Nilufa fell to the ground and the suspect continued hitting her in the face with the hammer, knocking her unconscious.
The suspect walked away from the scene. Nilufa died in seconds. A man on a bike comes up to the store and notices the victim dead, he calls for help.
ICE and local police together successfully located Rolbert and arrested him within an hour on Mango Street in Fort Myers.
The suspect first entered the U.S. in August 2022 and was released into the country under the Biden administration. A federal judge issued a final order of removal against him in 2022, but the Biden administration granted him Temporary Protected Status which expired in 2024.
