Body camera footage shows the moments a cop let off several rounds at a man in the parking lot of a Speedway gas station in Evendale, Ohio on February 2, 2023.
The suspect 21-year-old Carlos Ramirez is accused of standing outside of his truck holding a gun in the gas station parking lot at 11:44 p.m.
A shot was fired nearby. Although it is unclear if Carlos fired the shot, police responded to the scene after hearing the gunshot. Cops were already across the street on another traffic stop.
An officer arrived at the scene and Carlos allegedly pointed the gun at the officer. The cop then pulls out his duty weapon and tells Carlos to drop the gun.
Carlos gets in his vehicle and the officer begins to fire at the suspect. Carlos pulls off from the parking lot, the officer shot at Carlos several times, but Carlos was never shot.
Police chased Carlos for several miles until he crashed into the back of a bus in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Cops then used pepper ball rounds to subdue Carlos and get him out of the truck.
Carlos was arrested and charged with two counts of felonious assault, two counts of failing to comply with a police officer, one count of inducing panic, and five counts of aggravated menacing.
