New video shows Jeremy Asbury, 31, during a SWAT stand-off in which he killed himself on August 29, 2023 at a home on Columbus Circle Charlotte, NC. Jeremy made a Facebook Live video during the ordeal. Jeremy was a father.
But Jeremy refused to come outside and barricaded himself in the home, all while one of Jeremy’s kids was inside the house.
Jeremy made a social media post during the SWAT ordeal writing,
“Police Tryna K*ll Me Right Now The Way They Got My House Surrounded Hate It Had To End Like This”
Jeremy was armed with a weapon, so the SWAT team was called to the scene. The stand-off lasted for 6 hours. Attempts to communicate with Jeremy and facilitate a peaceful surrender were unsuccessful.
In the video Jeremy is heard saying,
“This may be yall last time seeing me alive”
Jeremy shot himself in the home during the stand-off. SWAT rushed in the home and found Jeremy in a pool of blood from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
Paramedics rushed Jeremy to the hospital, where he died shortly after arriving. Jeremy’s children are now with family.
Jeremy was at a DaBaby concert days before the SWAT ordeal. Jeremy was on stage during the concert.
