VIDEO: COP KILLS BLACK MAN ON INTERSTATE 95, BRINKS TRUCK PULLS OVER

Date:

Camden County Deputy Buck Aldridge fatally shot 53-year-old Leonard Cure during a traffic stop on October 16, 2023. The incident was on I-95 in Camden County, GA.

Leonard had recently been released from a Florida prison after being wrongly incarcerated since 2003. Leonard was awarded $800,000 for the wrongful conviction.

On October 16, 2023 Deputy Aldridge pulled Leonard over for allegedly speeding over 100 mph. The deputy orders Leonard out of the truck. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Leonard gets out and begins to argue with Deputy Aldridge. The deputy tells Leonard to put his hands behind his back and that he is under arrest for speeding.

Leonard put one hand in the air, and Deputy Aldridge tasers him in the back. Leonard then gets aggressive and does karate moves, attacking the deputy.

Leonard over powers Deputy Aldridge and strangles him standing up. The deputy pulls out a gun and shoots Leonard multiple times.

Leonard falls to the ground. A passing Brinks truck then backs up on the shoulder of I-95. The Brinks employee gets out of the company truck and points a gun at Leonard.

EMT and other officers arrived on scene to provide medical care to Leonard, but he died.

The case is under investigation. The family of Leonard is now suing the sheriff’s department and Deputy Aldridge.
