On July 7, 2023 an Amazon 18-wheeler truck was broken into and looted in traffic during a street take-over drag racing gathering. The incident occurred in Sacramento, California.
Hundreds of vehicles and spectators congregated to perform sideshows, commit acts of vandalism and impede the flow of traffic during the drag racing gathering.
At one point, an Amazon driver found themselves surrounded as people climbed on the semi-truck 18-wheeler, threw objects and ultimately broke into the cargo container, stealing valuable expensive products.
The Amazon driver was able to escape the area unharmed and limit the cargo thefts.
Even more people were seen shooting fireworks during the street take-over and climbing on a tanker truck, hijacking it.
